Born on March 26,
1942, in Santa Monica, California, Glenda came to the Brazosport
area in 1964 as a junior high choir teacher and met and married
husband, Gayle, on December 18, 1965. She and Gayle have two sons,
Bradley, a computer services associate in Nashville, Tennessee and
Russell, in Navy reserves and attending Art Institute, Culinary
School in Washington D.C.
Glenda graduated from East Texas State
University with an all-level BMEd degree, worked toward Masters
Degree, taught as a Graduate Assistant at ET, played French horn,
alto saxophone, and bari saxophone in various bands, played for
choirs and sang soprano in other choirs. She taught school music at
all levels for 21 years with Brazosport ISD, and piano lessons for
16 years. She started being a church musician in the 5th grade. Her
hobbies are reading, sewing, knitting, painting and playing bridge. |
