Dr. G. Wesley Welborn is the Senior
Pastor of Chapelwood United Methodist Church. He came to Chapelwood
in June of 2006. Prior to coming to Lake Jackson, he served churches
in Brenham, Center, Van, Baytown, Bryan, Beckville Circuit, Colfax
Circuit, Texas City and Smith Chapel circuit. Wesley had his
first preaching appointment in 1972 and has been a conference member
since 1977.

Shannon Hahn

Shannon was born in
Houston, TX on September 5th. When she was only a few months old her
family moved to Huntsville, TX where she lived until she was a
junior in high school. Shannon graduated in 1991 from Plano Senior
High school. After high school She attended Lon Morris College and
the University of Texas in Tyler.
Shannon joined the staff as the Director of Student
Ministries at Chapelwood UMC in October of 2001. She married her
husband, Ken, at Chapelwood on August 3, 2002.

Brett Chancey
Youth Ministries

Brett Chancey is a 14 year veteran in Student Ministry. Brett grew
up in Crosby,Texas where he answered a call to Student Ministry in
High School at FBC - Crosby. Brett attended Howard Payne University
receiving a BA in Religious Education with a Student Ministry
Emphasis. Since then Brett has attended Seminary at Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary where he plans to finish in the near
future.

Leslie Dalstra

Leslie Dalstra grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from
Kirkwood High School in Missouri. Leslie earned her bachelors degree
at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and her Masters of
Divinity at Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. In
1999 Leslie was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ). She has served Methodist and Disciple’s of Christ
congregations in Missouri.

I am one of the few natives of Clute
left over 50 that still lives here in the area (Richwood). Married a
long, long time to Terry, we have 2 boys, Jesse and Vincent and the
light of our lives, granddaughter Adrianna. I have worked in the
financial field all of my adult life retiring from The First State
Bank in Clute after 30 years.

Charlotte Gibson has been our secretary
since August, 2006. She was born in Freeport, Texas, raised in
Angleton and has lived in Lake Jackson since 1990. She is
married to David Gibson. She has 2 grown children and 3 grand
children that live in Lake Jackson. She is a member of Family Life
Church in Lake Jackson, where she actively participates in a
discipling ministry called “Rebecca’s Mentoring Group”. Her
favorite hobbies include reading, fishing, sewing, and spending time
