MISSION
Chapelwood UMC exists to help ourselves and others take the next step in the faith journey with Christ.
VISION
We are raising a generation in faith by:
fostering fluency in faith, creating a community of high expectations, instilling a sense of calling beyond self and learning to see and share where God is active in our lives.
VALUES
we do this because, at our core, we believe in
CARING
We use our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support and to reach out meet the needs of people in our congregation, community, and beyond
CONNECTIONS
We invite people to become part of our family in Christ and to build spirit filled bonds with individuals and communities to transform lives.
CELEBRATING
We celebrate God through joyful and deeply meaningful worship; by honoring the unique gifts and service of each person and by marking the joys in each other's lives.
CHRISTIAN GROWTH
We work together to connect the Bible to daily life and to deepen our connection to God through prayer, service, music, and study.

BAPTISM
In a sacrament, God uses common elements - in this case, water - as means or vehicles of divine grace. Baptism is administered by the church as the Body of Christ.
COMMUNION
The table of Holy Communion is Christ's table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of the local congregation. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ's love and to lead a new life of peace and love, as the invitation to the table says. Chapelwood typically celebrates communion on the first Sunday of the month.
